I’ve been using a lip gloss called ‘Sunset Strip’ by NARS for about six years now. I think it’s a beautiful color that is not too bold or bright. NARS describes it as ‘tangerine with golden shimmer’. Orange makeup is making a big scene this spring, but you have to be careful and pick a shade that fits your skin tone. I think Sophie Ellis Bextor wears this color beautifully!
Try:
MAC Lipstick, CB 96, Bright pinky-orange duo-chrome with golden shimmer
MAC Lipstick in Jest, Pink Glazed With Golden Coral
NARS lip gloss in Sunset Strip
Yves Saint Laurent in Orange Sari or Orange Magic

You have one month left (so the professionals tell us) to treat your nails to the trend of the autumn and winter seasons, glamorous dark colored nails. My personal favorite is Chanel Rouge Noir nail enamel, well any Chanel nail polish really. I think they have the best color choices of the major luxury makeup companies. I like to look at backstage pictures from runway shows because I get to see what the models are like before they put their ‘game face’ on. The photos are exciting because you get a behind the scenes look at something not too many people get to experience. These are from Badgley Mischka during New York Fashion Week.

Laura Mercier makes a cream that I swear by. It is called Crème Brulee Souffle Body Creme and it truly is an indulgence. I recommend it for those who want a slightly heavier moisturizing-hydrating cream. The delightful scent is that of a rich dessert, and by no means is it overpowering. For ultra pampering, use it after bathing with Laura Mercier’s Crème Brulee Honey Bath. Ooo La La!

Just wanted to share one of my favorite beauty products. Benefit Cosmetics makes a wonderful light pink complexion highlighter called High Beam. If I am not wearing any makeup, I dab High Beam over my cheekbones and my skin looks radiant and clean. I also put it over blush or bronzer. The finishing look is sexy, sultry, and screams glamour!
