Guilty Pleasure #1

Oh Katie, what are you wearing!?

kp.jpg

One of the great things about being in London right now is that I can watch one of my favorite shows, Katie & Peter. I fully admit it…I love the show.

She is a glamour model also known as ‘Jordan’ and he is a has-been pop star. It’s a match made in reality television heaven! With all their flaws and faults, they do have a great marriage and are fantastic parents.

They are the UK’s most famous couple and you either love them or hate them really. I personally can’t get enough of their quirky behavior and ridiculous conversations/comments. If you have not seen the show then you probably don’t have one clue as to what I am talking about. I suggested going to YouTube to see for yourself.

Oh and Katie & Peter is on tonight at 9pm iTV2 after American Idol….I know what I am doing tonight!

P.S. This video below is for you mature viewers…you have been warned!

Alberta Ferretti

alb1.jpgalb.jpg

I think the hair and makeup for Alberta Ferretti’s Fall 2008 collection is gorgeous. The look is very simple and is something that you can do at home. The skin is fresh and pale. Use a foundation that matches your skin tone and apply a cream blush in a light pink tone to your cheekbones. Now for the eyes: all you need is a good eyeliner (liquid or pencil) and a full volume mascara.

Try these products:

Chanel Le Crayon Kohl in Noir & Chanel Inimitable Waterproof Mascara Multi-Dimensionnel

As for the blush…use the product that I swear by and wrote about last week: NARS Multiple stick in the color of your choice depending on your skin tone.

Hair: the first step is to straighten your hair. For those of you with fringe (bangs) side part your hair and use a bobby pin to secure. If you don’t have fringe, don’t worry! You can still part a piece of your hair and pin it to the side. How simple is that?!

France’s First Lady

carla.jpgcarla3.jpg

French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his first lady Carla Bruni just arrived in Windsor for their two day visit to the UK.  Carla arrived looking beautiful and very French in a grey hat and suit. Upon their arrival the couple were greeted by the Queen and Prince Philip and taken by horse drawn carriage (naturally) to Windsor Castle. They are visiting the UK in order to create better relations between Britain and France. President Sarkozy Mr wants the UK and France to work “hand in glove” especially on issues such as the environment and immigration.

Carla Bruni is starting to act the part of being first lady. She is very much resembling Jackie Kennedy, which is exactly what I would do if I married a President, Prince, or King!

Audrey Hepburn

On being a style icon: “I never think of myself as an icon. What is in other people’s minds is not in my mind. I just do my thing.”

Model Profile: Natasha Poly

Natasha Polevshchikova (try saying that one), shortened to Natasha Poly is one of my favorite models. At the age of 22 she has been on the cover of Vogue seven times and appeared on the most desired runways such as Gucci, Lanvin, D&G, Chanel and Victoria’s Secret. Recently models.com ranked her #7 on their top 50 models list.

This video is from Fashion TV (I love fashion TV). It shows backstage footage of Gemma Ward working the runway, at photoshoots, and in interviews. It also has subtitles giving all sorts of random information about her. Hope you like it!
