I agree - an untucked shirt or longer tunic does not work well with this type of pant. You really need a more fitted style on top for balance. I’ll stick to my skinny and bootcut though as these make my hips look REALLY big LOL!!

I love these wide leg jeans but also look like Ive got tree trunk hips in them
Ill stick with my skinnies for now!

I LOVE these pants.
They look good on just about anybody, but those of us ladies who are 5′7″ and above get the best benefit, because with a high or low heel, you still get that long legged wonderful look.
The pair that you found are really neat, I love that sailor button flap arrangement. These pants are making another round from the late 70’s/early 80’s and are going to be a big hit again.
